I am very grateful to Columbia International College for awarding me this scholarship. This money helped my family greatly as it assisted us in paying a huge part of my school fees. This scholarship will go a long way in the pursuit of my medical dream. My aspiration is to become a successive black female doctor. I aspire to inspire other black women that we are enough. That we are capable of greatest, and nothing is impossible as delay is by no means denial. I am very grateful to CIC for supporting me in this cause.
I am thankful for this amazing award that you have given me. I will never forget the support and help I have received in Columbia International College and will forever be grateful for it. I have completed over 200 hours of community service and volunteering. One of my biggest accomplishments was to complete the First Aid training course. I will embrace any leadership opportunities that come my way and become a better person and a better leader.
I was awarded this scholarship for my dedication to personal growth, accountability and respectful of the school’s diversity. This scholarship will be a reminder to always work hard and will go towards my future education to pursue my favourite subjects in Sports and Business.
My time at CIC pushed me out of my comfort zone to be more active in volunteering and broadened my horizons to world issues. This inspired me to study engineering to develop solutions to the problems around the world. Receiving the scholarship encourages me to continue to work hard to achieve my goal to become an environmental engineer.
This scholarship has meant a lot to me in terms of making me believe in myself. I plan to pursue a career in Psychology as I am very passionate about the subject. I want to raise awareness about mental health worldwide and do my best to help as many people as I can. I now feel ready to take on any challenges that come my way.
I participated tons of school activities and volunteered outside of school. I volunteered as a peer tutor and also some other community events. I have done over 410 volunteer hours and counting. I used my scholarship [to attend] the Model United Nations trip in New York Change The World Conference. This helped me to discover my potential, which has shaped me as a well-rounded person.
Receiving the scholarship confirm my efforts and motivate me to work harder in the future. It showed me that hard work would definitely pay off and I could achieve anything once I have set my mind on it. It can be difficult being in a foreign country without your family and studying in a completely new environment, but if you are persistent and hard-working, you will be able to overcome those difficulties.
This scholarship meant a lot to me emotionally. This was recognition for all my hard work and effort, but most importantly to becoming a better human being. This is a motor for me to keep going in the same direction and keep being the best version of me.
